The Color of Money
Overview
The Color of Money is a 1986 sports drama film directed by Martin Scorsese, the sequel to the 1961 film The Hustler. The film stars Paul Newman as "Fast Eddie" Felson, a former pool hustler who is now a successful liquor salesman, and Tom Cruise as Vincent Lauria, a young, talented, and cocky pool player. Eddie takes Vincent under his wing, teaching him the art of the hustle. The film is a stylish, cool, and entertaining film about pool hustling. The Color of Money was a critical and commercial success, earning over $52 million on a $14 million budget. Paul Newman won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his performance.
