Overview
Deadpool and Wolverine is a 2024 superhero film directed by Shawn Levy, serving as the third film in the Deadpool series and the first to be produced by Marvel Studios. This Wolverine is haunted by the deaths of the X-Men, and he has no interest in helping anyone. The film is a road trip comedy, with Deadpool and Wolverine bickering and fighting their way across the multiverse. They are captured by Cassandra Nova, the twin sister of Charles Xavier, who rules a wasteland called the Void. They escape, and they return to Earth-10005. They fight an army of Deadpool variants, including Nicepool, Lady Deadpool, and Dogpool. The film ends with Deadpool and Wolverine sacrificing themselves to save the timeline. They are resurrected by the TVA, and they become friends. The film is filled with cameos, including Jennifer Garner as Elektra, Wesley Snipes as Blade, Channing Tatum as Gambit, and Chris Evans as Johnny Storm. Deadpool and Wolverine was a massive box office success, earning over $1.3 billion worldwide, making it the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.
