A Few Good Men
Overview
A Few Good Men is a 1992 legal drama film directed by Rob Reiner, based on the 1989 play by Aaron Sorkin. The film stars Tom Cruise as Lt. Daniel Kaffee, a young, cocky military lawyer who is defending two Marines accused of murder. He uncovers a conspiracy involving a "code red" order given by Colonel Nathan Jessup (Jack Nicholson). The film is famous for the courtroom scene where Kaffee yells, "I want the truth!" and Jessup replies, "You can't handle the truth!" A Few Good Men was a critical and commercial success, earning over $243 million on a $40 million budget. It was nominated for four Academy Awards.
