Lucifer Season 4
Overview
Lucifer Season 4 is the first season produced by Netflix after the show was canceled by Fox and rescued by fan campaigns. The season picks up immediately after the Season 3 cliffhanger: Chloe has seen Lucifer's devil face, and she is terrified of him. The season explores the fallout of this revelation, as Chloe struggles to reconcile the kind, charming man she knows with the terrifying Devil she has seen. Lucifer, meanwhile, is devastated by Chloe's rejection and tries to prove to her that he is not evil. The season introduces a new villain: Father Kinley (Graham McTavish), a priest who believes that Lucifer is responsible for all the evil in the world and who wants to send him back to Hell. Kinley manipulates Chloe into helping him, leading to a confrontation that forces Chloe to choose between her fear and her faith in Lucifer. The season also introduces Eve (Inbar Lavi), Adam's first wife, who comes to Los Angeles looking for Lucifer. Eve represents Lucifer's past — a time when he was carefree, hedonistic, and unburdened by guilt. She encourages him to embrace his devilish nature, leading to a conflict with Chloe, who wants him to be better. The season explores themes of identity, redemption, and the nature of good and evil. The season ends with Lucifer returning to Hell to rule as its king, sacrificing his happiness on Earth to protect Chloe and the people he loves. The season finale, "Who's Da New King of Hell?", is one of the most emotional episodes of the series. Lucifer Season 4 is widely considered one of the best seasons, with a tighter, more focused storyline.
