The Walking Dead Season 9

Overview

The Walking Dead Season 9 continues the story of the survivors. The season is set several years after the war with Negan. The communities are prospering, and a new generation is being born. The season also features the departure of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), the main character of the series. Rick is injured and blown up on a bridge, sacrificing himself to save the communities. He is presumed dead. The ninth season also introduces a new threat: the Whisperers, a group of people who wear the skin of the dead to blend in with the walkers. The Whisperers are led by Alpha (Samantha Morton). The season ends with a shocking beheading: Alpha kills several characters, including Henry, Enid, and Tara.
